...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to
  Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM...

At 748 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and
possible waterspouts. These thunderstorms were located 12 nm
southeast of Barataria Bay. Movement was nearly stationary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...locally higher
waves...and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

This is a strong thunderstorm which will likely produce winds to
around 30 knots...and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A
special marine warning may eventually be required for waterspouts.
Boaters should consider heading for shore before the storm arrives.
