...The Tennessee River at Florence is expected to remain above action
stage through the early evening hours, however flooding is not forecast...

Runoff from previous rainfall in upstream portions of the Tennessee
River basin caused river levels to rise rapidly last week. The
Tennessee River crested near flood stage on Friday, but has since
slowly fallen. Nevertheless, river levels remain above action stage
and are expected to remain elevated through the early evening
hours tonight. River levels are then forecast to fall below
action stage by midnight.

At 12 PM Monday the stage was 17.1 feet. Action Stage is 16.0 feet.
Flood Stage is 18.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to 16.4 feet
early this evening.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.
