At 128 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain over much of eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally heavy
rain were located in Carroll, Benton and Madison counties in
Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Tulsa, Fort Smith and
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the
north at around 25 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour
was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch and
a half to two inches. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for this afternoon, occasional showers and a
chance of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and temperatures 61 to
66 degrees along with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
