...NWS Damage Survey Plan of Action for Sunday...

Event Date 02/24/18

The National Weather Service in Memphis is planning on
investigating numerous reports of damage across Northeast
Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and Northwest Tennessee beginning
Sunday 2/25/2018. We suspect some of this damage was caused by
tornadoes. We plan on utilizing multiple survey crews. However,
due to the expansive area of damage, it may still take two days or
longer to complete the surveys and determine the strength of any
potential tornadoes.

Specifically, our areas of focus include:

Clay County, AR and Dunklin County, MO between Knobel and Malden.
Mississippi County, AR between Keiser and Osceola.
Obion County, TN approximately 3 miles Northeast of Union City.
Obion County, TN between Reelfoot Lake and Union City.
Weakley County, TN near Martin.
Gibson County, TN near Trenton.
Madison County, TN near Gibson.
Madison County, TN approximately 5 miles Northeast of Jackson.
Henry County, TN near Paris.

Please continue to send any damage reports or pictures to us via
social media, telephone or email.

This product will be updated as frequently as possible to include
the latest on our findings.

NOTE: Information in this statement is preliminary and subject to
