.LONG TERM...
(Sunday morning through next Thursday)
Issued at 231 PM EDT Fri Apr 12 2024

The extended forecast period starts off Sunday morning with the high
pressure ridge centered over South GA/North FL. This ridge will keep
things warm and dry through the middle of next week. Over the course
of several days of subsidence, with zero precipitation chances until
at least Wednesday, expect our highs to soar into the mid-to-upper
80s areawide. Lows will also be quite warm as well with temps in the
50s and 60s. This dry conditions and warm weather expected we will
need to watch for dangerous fire weather conditions for Sun through
Tuesday. Winds will be light but Minimum Relative Humidity values
will be in the Mid to upper 20s to lower 30s. Also, with at least
5 days of dry weather fuels will become very dry.

Very low end precipitation chances return Wednesday and Thursday
for areas north of an ATL to AHN line associated with an
approaching frontal boundary. Right now it appears to be very
weak as it enters the state but will definitely need to watch it
as things develop over the next few day.
