...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay
  County.

  Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

  Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Clay, Buena Vista,
  Cherokee and O`Brien Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Ocheyedan River near Spencer.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, significant amounts of pasture and other
  farm land begin flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:45 PM CDT Wednesday was 9.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.9
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, the north bank of the river overflows.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 19.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 19.7 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then fall Saturday morning. It will rise to 19.6 feet
    Monday morning. It will then fall again but remain above
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, city sewers in Spencer can begin to back
  up. Highway 18 between Spencer and Dickens can start flooding if
  flows on the tributary creeks are also very high.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 12.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.3
    feet early tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Linn Grove.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, significant flooding of agricultural land
  begins along this entire stretch of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 19.4
    feet early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
