...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT BEAUREGARD...SOUTHWESTERN
VERNON...SOUTHWESTERN ALLEN PARISHES IN SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA AND
CENTRAL NEWTON COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 AM CDT...

At 856 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bivens, or near Singer, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
De Ridder, Leesville, Newton, Rosepine, Merryville, Singer, Ragley,
Fort Johnson, Fields, Bon Weir, Burkeville, De Quincy, New Llano,
Trout Creek, Bivens, Junction, Oretta, Stringtown, Longville, and
Farrsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
