...WINTER STORM WARNINGS AND WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES FAR SOUTH
LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

Today will be a cold but dry day across the state as high pressure
dominates. Lows will range in the upper teens to lower 20s with
highs in the mid 30s to mid 40s.

The next storm system to affect the state arrives tonight to the
southwest. This will spread light to moderate snow starting in
southwest Minnesota overnight, then over much of southern into
central portions during the day Wednesday. The center of the storm
is expected to travel south of Minnesota Wednesday but will still
spread accumulating snow to much of southern Minnesota then. Winter
Storm Warnings have been issued for portions of southern and
southeastern Minnesota for tonight into Wednesday night for the
possibility of 6 inches or more snow accumulation.

Following this storm, we expect dry conditions through the end of
the week. Along with that, a warming trend is also expected. We
could see some 50s return for the weekend.
