...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHERN WAYNE AND EASTERN SAMPSON COUNTIES...
At 717 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mount Olive to 10 miles north of Harrells to 10
miles north of Lagoon, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Goldsboro, Clinton, Mount Olive, Walnut Creek, Harrells, Garland,
Turkey, Seven Springs, Cliffs Of The Neuse State Park, and Ivanhoe.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms have produced widespread
wind damage across the NC Sandhills and also multiple measured wind
gusts between 55 and 63 mph at nearby airports! SEEK SHELTER NOW
