Fire Weather Planning Forecast for southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
248 AM CDT Fri Mar 29 2024

.DISCUSSION...

South-southwest winds will increase this morning into the
afternoon. Gusts of 30-50 mph are expected, with the highest
gusts near and west of the I-49 corridor. Afternoon humidities
will fall into the 30-45% range and again result in elevated fire
weather conditions.

A cold front will move into the area tonight into Saturday and bring
a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly across central
Missouri.

A strong storm system will then bring the potential for severe
storms on Monday.
