...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT ANGELINA COUNTY THROUGH 415 AM
CDT...
At 334 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Diboll to 8 miles east of
Corrigan to Chester to 8 miles west of Woodville to 9 miles southeast
of Alabama-Coushatta Reservation. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lufkin, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Burke, Zavalla, Shawnee, Homer,
and Dolan.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
