Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
227 PM MDT Mon Apr 23 2018

.DISCUSSION...Another spring storm system will bring rain, snow, and
gusty winds to the area late today into Tuesday. Up to a few inches of
snowfall is likely across parts of far northeastern Wyoming,
northwestern South Dakota, and the northern Black Hills area, with the
higher elevations of the northern Black Hills receiving up to 6 inches.
Most of northwest South Dakota will see a half inch to one inch of
precipitation from the system. Areas further to the south will likely
see some rainfall, but amounts will be relatively light. Gusty
northwesterly winds are expected tonight into early Tuesday. After a
cool day on Tuesday, mild and mainly dry weather is expected for the
rest of the week.
