A weak cold front moves south and east of Long Island early this
morning with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms coming
to an end. A trough of low pressure will be exiting the northeast
today as high pressure builds in from the west. A light northwest
flow will bring in a drier airmass. Morning cloudiness will give
way to clearing this afternoon. Highs will reach the lower to mid
80s.

High pressure continues to build toward the region from the west
tonight and Thursday with a light northerly flow. Tonight will be
clear with lows ranging from around 50 across the lower Hudson
Valley, to the mid and upper 50s along the coast, with lower 60s
in the New York City metropolitan area. Highs Thursday will be
slightly lower then Wednesday as a drier and cooler Canadian
airmass moves into the area. Highs will be in the mid 70s inland
and along the coast, with lower 80s across northeastern New Jersey
and New York City.
