Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.3 inch high pressure centered just east of Lake
Superior will build to 30.4 inches as it shifts east today, reaching
southern Quebec by this evening. The high will build further to 30.7
inches by Monday morning. Meanwhile, a deep low pressure of 29.0
inches organizing over eastern Colorado today will weaken to 29.4
inches as it lifts northeast, crossing western Lake Superior during
Tuesday afternoon. As the low weakens further to 29.5 inches while
lifting across northern Ontario during Tuesday night and Wednesday,
a high pressure ridge of 30.2 inches will build southeast through
the Dakotas to the Mid-Mississippi Valley. On Thursday, the ridge
will weaken to 30.1 inches as it drifts toward the Upper Great
Lakes.
