...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Gale
Watch...which is in effect from Friday evening through late
Saturday night.

* WIND AND WAVES DURING THE GALE WATCH...Expect sustained winds
  of up to 33 knots from the northeast, with gusts up to 39
  knots. The largest expected significant waves will be 14 feet
  with a maximum wave height of up to 20 feet possible.

* TIMING...The maximum winds are expected around 10 AM EDT
  Saturday with the largest waves expected around 12 PM EDT
  Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased, but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
