Hot, dry, and sunny conditions continue through this week and into next weekend. Highs warm into the 90s to near 100 by mid week. Dew points remain in the upper 50s and 60s, which will lead to minimum humidity values in the 20-35% range by Tuesday, lowest along and west of the James River. Afternoon wind gusts will be around 20 to 30 mph - again, strongest west of the James River. This combination over the course of a few days may lead to drying finer fuels. At least locally elevated fire danger is expected along and west of the James River Valley through most of this week.
