Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
735 PM CDT Tue Jul 21 2026

...Above bankfull but below flood stage levels were observed along
the Rio Grande...

Thunderstorms have produced locally heavy rainfall over the Rio
Grande watershed over the past week. This has resulted in elevated
flows in the vicinity of Boquillas. However, no significant
flooding is anticipated. Absent any additional rainfall, river
levels should decrease over the next 24 hours or so.

For the Rio Grande at Rio Grande at Rio Grande Village, BBNP, Texas
* The current stage was 6.5 feet (2.0 meters).
* Impacts at 12.0 feet (3.7 meters) the river reaches bankfull, and
no damage is expected. Preparations may be necessary to remove
water pumps. The park should be notified at this time if
additional rises are expected so they will have time to remove the
  pumps.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
