Increased moisture and light to breezy winds will help to limit critical fire weather conditions over the next week. Extremely localized and brief critical fire weather conditions will exist across the west central basin and range tomorrow afternoon due to breezy southwest winds and humidity in the low double digits. Showers and thunderstorms are likely across northern and portions of eastern New Mexico this weekend while drier conditions favor western and west central New Mexico. Precipitation chances will then favor the northern mountains next week. Light to breezy winds and improved moisture will keep critical fire weather conditions at bay through midweek.
