...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM TODAY FOR PARTS
OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN NM DUE TO STRONG WIND, LOW HUMIDITY, AND AN
UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

.Strong south and southwest winds will continue today ahead of an
upper level trough approaching from the southwest. Humidity will
fall to near 10% with above normal temperatures, wind gusts up to
40 mph, and high Haines indices. Surface winds will taper off
after sunset today to alleviate critical fire weather.

EVENING...

* AREA AND TIMING...Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia
  and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Central Highlands (Zone 125),
  Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), and Northeast Plains (Zone 104)
  through 8 PM MDT today.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...South and southwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts up
  to 40 mph, except up to 45 mph across northeast areas.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.
