...ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS THE SOUTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ABOVE
7000 FEET TOMORROW...

A storm system will move across the New Mexico, Texas and Mexico
border Tuesday morning through Tuesday night. Plentiful Gulf
moisture and northeast winds ahead of the low will allow for snow
to develop across the Sacramento and Capitan Mountains Tuesday
morning peaking during the afternoon hours. Heavier bands could
produce 1 to 2 inch and hour snowfall rates and reduced visibility
across U.S. Highways 380 and 70 at times. Through late Tuesday
evening, around 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected across Ruidoso
proper. Higher amounts of up to a foot are possible across Sierra
Blanca with 1 to 2 feet possible across the Capitan Mountains
north of Ruidoso, Alto, Nogal and Capitan. Snow will taper off
quickly Tuesday evening with clearing skies shortly afterwards.
