MDT...

At 303 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Quay, or 15 miles south of Tucumcari, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Penny size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Heavy rain and frequent and dangerous cloud to ground lightning will
also be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Quay and San Jon.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 337 and 358.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor your preferred

possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
