000 NOUS44 KBMX 031644 PNSBMX ALZ011>015-017>050-040445- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Birmingham AL 1144 AM CDT Wed Apr 3 2024 ...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near in Dallas and Chilton Chilton Counties... The National Weather Service office in Birmingham AL is currently conducting a storm survey for the area near Plantersville in Dallas/Chilton County Alabama. The survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area on 4/2/2024. The survey team has found evidence of EF-1 damage near and west of Plantersville, near the Dallas and Chilton County line. The survey is still ongoing, and an additional likely tornado path in Chilton County will be surveyed later this afternoon. A final assessment, including detailed results of both surveys, is expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement this evening.
