Winds will blow out of the southeast at 10 to 20 mph. Gusts to 30 mph are possible across the Cape and islands. Scattered showers will continue tonight and perhaps linger into Thursday morning as the low lifts north over New England. Thursday will be fair and warm. Rainfall totals today through tonight are expected to average between 0.50 and 1.50 inches, with isolated higher amounts. Area main stem river levels will respond by showing slight rises over the next 24 to 48 hours.
