...Area of Strong Thunderstorms in eastern Connecticut and western
Rhode Island moving into central Massachusetts...

At 118 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Windham Connecticut southeastward
to Richmond, Rhode Island. The area was racing north at 80 mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph will accompany these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Worcester, Shrewsbury, Coventry, South Kingstown, Mansfield, Windham,
Plainfield, Orange, Grafton, Willimantic, Killingly, Holden, Webster,
Southbridge, Auburn, Burrillville, Oxford, Millbury, Charlton and
Palmer.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Get indoors when these storms approach. Frequent lightning was
occurring. Lightning can strike far away from the storm. Go inside a
building or vehicle. Wait at least 30 minutes until after the storm
has passed to resume outdoor activities.
