At 1254 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong wind gusts to 30 to 40 mph along a line extending from near Duxbury to Scituate. Movement was south at 10 mph. The winds were well out ahead of thunderstorms which were farther to the north. Winds in excess of 30 mph can be expected. There will also be pockets of minor urban and poor drainage flooding. Locations impacted include... Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Plymouth, Taunton, East Providence, Coventry, North Providence, West Warwick, Johnston, Bridgewater, Marshfield, Attleboro, Middleborough, Norton, Somerset, Pembroke, Barrington and Swansea. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Get indoors when these storms approach. Winds may be strong enough to produce minor damage, such as a few downed branches.
