...New AVIATION...
.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Saturday night)
Issued at 143 PM CDT Fri Apr 12 2024
Key Messages:
- Low chance of elevated fire weather conditions Saturday
Generally quiet weather is expected through Saturday night. Onshore
flow will advect warm and moist air into the area at the surface.
Even so, there is a low chance of elevated fire weather conditions
over the Brush Country for Saturday afternoon. With normal fuel
moisture and increasing moisture, will hold off on any Fire Danger
Statements.
With the return of low-level moisture, we could see some hazy
morning conditions Saturday; however, expect this will not last with
breezy conditions redeveloping by mid-morning. Temperatures will be
warm again, with lows in the 60s across South Texas tonight and
Saturday night. High temperatures will range from around 80 along
the coast to around 90 over the Rio Grande Plains.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday through next Thursday)
Issued at 143 PM CDT Fri Apr 12 2024
Upper level ridging will move into the region early next week which
will promote above average temperatures. By mid-week, a trough will
move across the Southern Plains and eject a cold front into
Texas; unfortunately models continue to show the front stalling
just north of South Texas. If it does stall, temperatures can be
expected to remain warm through the end of the week. Could some
relief be insight? Maybe. By the end of the extended forecast
global models are showing a cold front actually pushing through
the region which will usher in drier air and low chances for rain.
