...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 7 PM MST FRIDAY...

.DISCUSSION...Shower and storm activity is diminishing this
evening as a low pressure system is passing over the region. Winds
at the site will remain variable for the next few hours as
decaying showers and storms have left numerous outflows over the
area.

Overnight, winds should start to becoming southwesterly again.

Another low pressure system will be entering the region tomorrow.
The increasing SW winds ahead of it combined with terrain lift on
the Colorado Plateau will aid in developing scattered showers late
tomorrow morning, which could impact the area. Precipitation
coverage increases during the afternoon with numerous scattered
storms expected: thunderstorms tomorrow could produce ample
amounts of small hail and graupel.

Friday night thunderstorm coverage decreases but showers will
persist. Dropping temperatures with the continued shower activity
will result in rain showers transitioning over to snow showers
Friday night into early Saturday morning. Confidence is high that
snow amounts will remain under 2 inches, possible under an inch.

The weather will remain unsettled into Saturday as the low moves
east with a decrease in shower activity for the morning before
more showers and storms develop in the afternoon. Dry, quiet
weather returns by Sunday.
