...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MESA COUNTY THROUGH
700 PM MDT...

At 629 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles west of Fruita to near Palisade.
Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Loma, Fruitvale, Cameo, Mack,
Clifton, and Redlands.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 10 and 24, and
between mile markers 26 and 56.
 Colorado 65 between mile markers 54 and 61.
 Colorado 139 between mile markers 1 and 9.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 161 and 162.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Grand Junction.
