Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
233 PM CDT Mon Apr 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy fog will be possible in the southeast Tuesday and Wednesday
mornings but dense fog is not anticipated. Ridging surface and
aloft will try to remain dominant over our area through Tuesday
as a low pressure system approaches the region. This low pressure
system will send a weak cold front into northwest Mississippi
Tuesday evening resulting in the chance for rain across the
northern districts Tuesday night into Wednesday. Higher rain
chances will develop over much of the area Thursday ahead of
another low pressure system that will try to drop a cold front
into our CWA Friday. This front is expected to stall but remain a
focus for rain chances until a clearing cold front moves through
on Sunday.
