Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
317 AM EDT Sat Apr 27 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Strong high pressure centered along the New England and Mid-
Atlantic coasts will continue to wedge down the southeastern
seaboard through tonight, resulting in strengthening easterly
winds this morning. Meanwhile, coastal troughing situated over
the northeast Florida waters will continue to occasionally
generate showers over our local waters today. This feature will
shift inland this evening as high pressure begins to gradually
weaken as it shifts southward towards the North Carolina Outer
Banks. Small Craft Advisory conditions are expected to continue
offshore through Sunday morning, while Small Craft Advisory
conditions expand to the near shore waters adjacent to northeast
Florida this afternoon and tonight. Winds and seas will diminish
by Sunday evening as high pressure becomes anchored off the
southeastern seaboard early next week, followed by prevailing
winds shifting to southerly towards midweek.
