...ABNORMALLY DRY CONDITIONS WERE PRESENT ACROSS A SMALL PORTION
OF SOUTHEASTERN FRONTIER COUNTY...

PRECIPITATION OVER THE LAST THIRTY DAYS WAS ABOVE NORMAL ACROSS
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. ELSEWHERE...PRECIPITATION OVER THE LAST 30
DAYS WAS RUNNING 50 TO AROUND 100 PERCENT OF NORMAL. EVEN WITH THE
BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION...WELL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES...HAVE
LIMITED MOISTURE DEPLETION FROM SOIL OVER THE PAST 30 DAYS.

AS OF APRIL 19...ACCORDING TO THE US DROUGHT MONITOR...ABNORMALLY
DRY CONDITIONS WERE OCCURRING ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF
FRONTIER COUNTY.

THE LATEST 6 TO 10 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING APRIL 27TH THROUGH MAY
1ST...CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES WEST OF A LINE FROM
AINSWORTH TO BROKEN BOW WITH NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES EAST OF THIS
LINE. BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST DURING THE PERIOD FOR
ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

THE LATEST 8 TO 14 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING APRIL 29TH THROUGH MAY
5TH...CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND ABOVE NORMAL
PRECIPITATION FOR ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

ACCORDING TO THE CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER...THE LATEST OUTLOOK FOR
MAY CALLS FOR EQUAL CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND PRECIPITATION.

THE LATEST 3 MONTH OUTLOOK COVERING MAY...JUNE AND JULY...FOR
WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES SOUTH OF A LINE FROM OSHKOSH TO BROKEN BOW. NORTH OF
THIS LINE...EQUAL CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES IS FORECAST. THE PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK FOR THE SAME
PERIOD IS FOR EQUAL CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL
PRECIPITATION ACROSS ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

SINCE NO DROUGHT CONDITIONS ARE OCCURRING IN THE OUTLOOK
AREA...AN ABRIDGED DROUGHT INFORMATION STATEMENT IS ISSUED. WHEN THE
ONSET OF MODERATE DROUGHT CONDITIONS BEGIN...AN EXPANDED DROUGHT
INFORMATION STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED ON THE THIRD THURSDAY OF THE
MONTH.
