Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A trough of low pressure averaging 29.7 inches will
persist across the Great Lakes today. The trough will shift to
the lower Great Lakes and weaken to 29.9 inches on Memorial Day.
High pressure of 30.1 inches will then push across northern
Ontario and the upper Great Lakes by Monday evening before
drifting over Quebec on Tuesday. A 29.4 inch low just to the south
of Lake Winnipeg will track east into northwestern Ontario by
early Wednesday morning before weakening to 29.5 inches on
Thursday morning near western Lake Superior. The low will weaken
further to 29.6 inches as it tracks southeast across the upper
Great Lakes through Thursday evening.
