River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 29.8 feet.

    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 26.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.4
    feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 23.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.9
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

  stockpile 200 tons of sand, 12,000 sandbags, and 10,000 square
  feet of polyethylene plastic as a precaution.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 26.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling to 22.6 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 16.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 13.1 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

  gates all open), Alta Villa Road off of Highway 94 begins flooding
  and is closed.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.0
    feet Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Water begins flooding the floor at the
  Palisades Marina in Portage Des Sioux.  Access to homes along
  North Shore Drive in eastern St. Charles County becomes cut off
  near this height.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 20.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.8
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
