.DISCUSSION...
Northeasterly winds will become easterly late this afternoon and
remain out of the east throughout the overnight hours into tomorrow.
Despite gusts peaking near the 30 mph range across portions of the
South and Rolling Plains today, minimum relative humidity above 20
percent in the post-frontal environment will curtail fire weather
concerns. Minimum RH values will fall to near 30 percent tomorrow
afternoon as the easterly winds remain intact at 10-15 mph. Fire
weather concerns will continue to be of little concern on Saturday
as an upper level disturbance brings showers and possibly a few
thunderstorms to the area. In addition, abundant cloud cover will
keep temperatures cool and humidity high.
