Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
119 PM CST Sat Dec 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low to none over the next couple of
days. A cold front moves through tonight into Sunday, bringing
gusty winds and a shot of colder air that briefly increases MinRHs
Sunday and Monday. MinRH values drop near critical Wednesday through
the remainder of the week as temperatures continue to warm up.
However, light winds prevent critical fire weather conditions from
developing. ERCs will remain between the 50th and 75th percentile
across the region Sunday, then improve Monday.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
