Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
249 AM CDT Mon Apr 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low for the region this afternoon
with good to excellent recovery and above critical relative
humidity. Critical relative humidity begins to make its return
across western portions of the area Wednesday, though winds remain
light. Breezy conditions begin to combine with this critical
relative humidity as our next trough approaches Thursday and into
Friday. Elevated and near-critical fire weather may return where
winds are stronger during this time period. Recoveries are
expected to be excellent to the east and poor to the west. By the
weekend, widespread critical relative humidity overspreads most
the area with only good to fair recoveries.
