.DISCUSSION...
A backdoor cold front will stall over eastern North Carolina
today before lifting back north tonight. Behind the boundary,
northeasterly winds of 5-10 kts with an occassional gust to 15
kt is likely while along and south of the boundary winds will be
southerly to variable at around 5 kt. RHs will be lowest along
and west of Highway 17, reaching minimums of around 40%.

Unfavorable wind profiles expected along the Outer Banks where
marine layer will keep strong inversions in place.

High pressure ridging briefly builds back into the Southeast
around midweek before the next cold front impacts the area
next weekend.
