The upper level low is currently directly over the forecast area slowly spinning to the northeast. Current radar imagery indicates a decent coverage of showers south of I-40 and have increased PoPs in the near-term. Current water vapor imagery indicates a decent dry-slot punching in around the southeast side of the upper low and expect the PoPs will drop off after 03-06z. Increased the QPF grids slightly as well with additional amounts of around a quarter to half an inch at the most. There have been a few rumbles of thunder across N GA and have left the small chance for thunder in the forecast for locations south of I-40.
