Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest
Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
324 AM EDT Thu May 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Patchy morning fog and low clouds will give way to mostly sunny to
partly cloudy skies by midday or so as high pressure builds in
aloft. Subsequently, expect dry and warm conditions for much of the
area today, although a few showers may be possible in the far
northeast. The dry spell will be short lived however, as the next
round of showers and thunderstorms return tomorrow, with wet
conditions lasting into the weekend.
