Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ898-220800- 420 PM EDT Sun Apr 21 2024 .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A high pressure ridge will build E over the far S waters, as developing low pressure moves E and NE and passes S of the region tonight. A cold front will move SE over the waters Mon, and then weaken and dissipate Mon night. High pressure will move E across the waters later Mon into Tue, and then shift well E of the waters Tue night while maintaining a ridge across the area as a strong low pressure area passes SE of the region. Another low and associated cold front will approach the waters early Wed, then cross the region later Wed into Wed night.
