On September 5th, 2026, at around 500 PM, the public reported a
landspout tornado with visual indicators. Radar data in the
location of the event, 6 miles northeast of Bridgeport, WA in
Douglas County, supports a convective shower during the time of
this report that would be capable of a quick spin-up of a brief
landspout tornado. After a review process, this event will
officially be documented by the National Weather Service as a
tornado with an unknown Enhanced Fujita (EF-U) rating.
