...Data for Pine Bluff for Spring of 2018...

.Summary...
Spring ran the gamut from record cold, April snow, late freezes to
record warmth all within a few weeks time. Even though May was
record warm, and March was warmer than average, it was the month of
April which kept Spring 2018 from the record books.

Rainfall was actually a little above average for the spring, thanks
largely to abundant rainfall in March and April.

Snow fell for the first Spring in three years. Even though it wasn`t
measurable, it was still one of the latest snows recorded at Pine
Bluff in the Spring.

.Seasonal Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coldest since 2016. The average
low temperature was the coldest since 2014. The average monthly
temperature, even though it was a degree above the 30-year mean,
was still the coolest since 2016.

The first 90-degree day occurred on May 8th, which was close to two
weeks ahead of the average first 90-degree day, and was over a month
earlier than last year.

There were eight days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees,
which was the most since 2012.

There were three days with low temperatures at or below freezing,
which was the most since 2015.

.Seasonal Rainfall...
Rainfall was above average in March and April, and this kept the
Spring as a whole nearly an inch above the 30-year mean. However, it
was still the least amount of rain in the Spring since 2013.

.Seasonal Snowfall...
For the first time since 2015, snow fell during the Spring. Although
it was not measurable, it was still significant for several
reasons: It was the latest snow in the Spring in 35 years and it was
the 4th latest snowfall at Pine Bluff since records began in late
1883.
