The PITTSBURGH PA climate summary for the month of March, 2018.  The maximum
temperature for the period was 62.  The record maximum temperature is 84
degrees which was set in 1929.  The minimum temperature was 17.  The record
minimum temperature is -5 degrees which was set in 2015.  The average
temperature was 34.8 degrees which is 4.8 degrees below the normal average
temperature of 39.6 degrees.  The maximum temperature did not exceed 90
degrees.  The minimum temperature dropped below 32 degrees on 27 days this
period.  A total of 2.96 inches of precipitation fell during the
period which is 0.01 of an inch above the normal amount of 2.95
inches. There were 14 days with greater than or equal to 0.01 of an
inch of precipitation was observed.  One-tenth of an inch of
precipitation or greater fell on 8 days. One-half of an inch of
precipitation or greater was observed on 2 days. There were no days
with precipitation greater than or equal to 1.00 inch.  The maximum

maximum temperature did not exceed 90 degrees.  The minimum temperature dropped

precipitation fell during the period which is 0.12 inches above the normal
