...River Ice Statement...

River ice will continue to grow in extent through the next several
days as a result of the cold temperatures expected. This will be
halted over the weekend, once air temperatures rebound.

DATE OF OBSERVATION: 01/29/2019 10:20 AM EST    ID: ACMP1
LOCATION: CW Bill/Lock 3 on the Allegheny River.
REPORT:  There is some moving ice in the open water.
Extent is 5 miles upstream. REMARKS: Ice is 1 to 2 inches
thick.

LOCATION: Lock 4/Natrona on the Allegheny River.
REPORT:  Layered Shore ice. Extent is 6 miles upstream
REMARKS: Ice is 2 inches thick.
