Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
523 AM PDT Fri May 10 2024

.DISCUSSION...High confidence in the forecast regarding both
temperatures and increasing winds. An upper level ridge will
remain over the forecast area through the weekend. This will bring
temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal and peaking Saturday.
With the warming temperatures, minimum RH values will be fair to
poor with good to excellent overnight recoveries. Westerly winds
will increase beginning Sunday with sustained winds nearing 20-25
mph across portions of the Columbia Basin, Simcoe Highlands, Blue
Mountain Foothills, and Kittitas Valley.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
