.OVERVIEW...Although surf has subsided a bit at both Yap and Koror,
large swell generated by Super Typhoon Surigae will maintain
hazardous surf across Palau and Yap through the week.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTH...WEST AND NORTH
FACING REEFS...
Hazardous surf of 10 to 14 feet will persist through the middle of
the week along south, west and north facing reefs. Surf is expected
to fall below hazardous levels along south facing reefs Wednesday,
however, will remain hazardous along west and north facing reefs
through the week as long-period northwest swell produced by Super
Typhoon Surigae continues affect the region.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Avoid venturing near reef lines facing east. Large breaking waves can
knock you down and cause serious injuries. Strong rip currents can
drag you out to sea. Swimming and snorkeling in these conditions will
be dangerous.

REEFS...
Hazardous surf of 10 to 13 feet will continue through Tuesday along
west facing reefs, then subside slightly to between 8 and 12 feet and
spread to north facing reefs. Surf will remain at these levels
through the remainder of the week. Along south facing reefs, surf is
expected to fall below hazardous levels Monday.
