.OVERVIEW...Although surf has subsided a bit at both Yap and Koror,
large swell generated by Typhoon Surigae will maintain hazardous
surf across Palau and Yap for the next few days. Coastal inundation
is no longer expected.

FACING REEFS...
Hazardous surf of 10 to 14 feet will persist through the weekend
along south, west and north facing reefs in the Republic of Palau. By
midweek, surf is expected to fall below hazardous levels of 9 feet
along south facing reefs but will remain hazardous along west and
north facing reefs through the week due as Super Typhoon Surigae
continues to pump out northwest swell.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not venture out along south, west, and north facing reefs. Huge
pounding waves can knock you unconscious and cause you to drown.
Strong rip currents will be life threatening.

REEFS...
Hazardous surf of 10 to 14 feet this afternoon will remain at these
levels through tonight. Along south facing reefs, surf is expected
to fall below hazardous levels of 9 feet Monday. Surf along west
facing reefs will remain hazardous but subside to between 8 and 12
feet by Tuesday, possibly spreading to north facing reefs around
midweek.

Do not venture out along south and west facing reefs. Huge pounding
