...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FOR SOUTH AND WEST FACING
REEFS...
...HIGH SURF WARNING HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED...
Surf has fallen below dangerous levels this afternoon, however, it
will remain at hazardous levels of 10 to 14 feet through the weekend.
By midweek, surf is expected to fall below hazardous levels of 9
feet along south facing reefs but will remain hazardous along west
and north facing reefs through the week due to a remnant long-period
northwest swell from Surigae.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not venture out along south, west, and north facing reefs. Huge
pounding waves can knock you unconscious and cause you to drown.
Strong rip currents will be life threatening.
Coastal roads may be flooded, especially at high tides. Residents
living along low-lying parts of the southern, western, and northern
coastlines should be ready to take action to protect property.
