...HIGH SURF WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTH...WEST AND NORTH
FACING REEFS...
...COASTAL INUNDATION POSSIBLE TODAY...

Dangerous surf of 14 to 18 feet will continue today. Surf will begin
to diminish this afternoon. While surf will probably fall below
dangerous levels this evening, it will remain at hazardous levels of
10 to 14 feet through the weekend. By midweek, surf will fall below
hazardous levels of 9 feet along south facing reefs but will remain
hazardous along west and north facing reefs through the week due to a
remnant long-period northwest swell from Surigae.

Inundation of 1 to 2 feet is possible for coastal areas today.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not venture out along south, west, and north facing reefs. Huge
pounding waves can knock you unconscious and cause you to drown.
Strong rip currents will be life threatening.

Coastal roads may be flooded, especially at high tides. Residents
living along low-lying parts of the southern, western, and northern
coastlines should be ready to take action to protect property.
