...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 ft.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Chuuk.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The north swell is expected to peak tonight.
  Wave models are estimating a swell height up to 6 feet with a
  period of 14 seconds, and this would be just enough to generate 9
  foot surf. Surf is expected to drop after tonight as the northerly
  swell decreases in both period and height, allowing surf to drop
  below 9 ft Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 ft.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Palau.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
  beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Based on buoy and model data, the north to
  northeast swell is still high enough to support 9 foot surf, so
  the advisory has been extended through tonight. The north swell is
  decreasing and should allow surf to drop below 9 feet Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 ft.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Yap.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
  beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf is expected to decrease overnight as the
  northeast swell weakens and becomes more easterly. Current model
  runs still support surf dropping below 9 feet along north reefs
  Monday, but an extension of the advisory through Monday is
  possible if the swell does not drop as quickly as models are
  suggesting.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
